چکیده
Sinkholes are a widespread geological hazard, typical of karst lands, where they generally originate as collapse features related to presence underground voids. Nevertheless, other types sinkholes can be formed through solution, suffusion and sagging processes. also originated in relation artificial cavities, excavated by man past times. In Italy, interest large sectors the country, given very long history Italy with an intense utilization underground. They cause serious damage infrastructures, economic activities, human health every year. We present catalogue on natural anthropogenic first step toward evaluation sinkhole hazard. After introducing sinkholes, which is definitely highly underrated type disaster we point out their occurrence country. illustrate methodology used build database, particular focus accuracy reliability data. Collecting information from different sources, some 1190 events built. Database structure data analysis then illustrated. Eventually, draw conclusions likely uses our work providing recommendations for environmental management this delicate issue.

Urinary Arsenic in Human Samples from Areas Characterized by Natural or Anthropogenic Pollution in Italy
Arsenic is ubiquitous and has a potentially adverse impact on human health. We compared the distribution of concentrations of urinary inorganic arsenic plus methylated forms (uc(iAs+MMA+DMA)) in four Italian areas with other international studies, and we assessed the relationship between uc(iAs+MMA+DMA) and various exposure factors. We conducted a human biomonitoring study on 271 subjects (132 ...
متن کاملNatural and anthropogenic U in environmental samples
The interaction of thermal neutrons with U results in fission with a probability of 85% and in the formation of U (t1/2 = 2.3 10 yr) with a probability of 15%. While anthropogenic U is, therefore, present in spent nuclear fuel at levels of U/U up to 10 , the expected natural ratios in the pre-anthropogenic environment range from 10 14 to 10 . At VERA, systematic investigations suggest a detecti...
متن کاملInvestigation on anthropogenic and natural share of heavy metals in surface sediments of Shadegan wetland
Accumulation of trace metals in sediment can cause severe ecological impacts. The present study determines the elemental concentrations and chemical partitioning of heavy metals in surface sediment of Shadegan wetland. Shadegan wetland is one of the most important wetlands in southwest of Iran and it is in Ramsar-listed wetlands. For this purpose, 7 sampling stations were selected for sediment ...
متن کاملTrace elements in winter snow of the Dolomites (Italy): a statistical study of natural and anthropogenic contributions.
Knowledge of the occurrence of trace elements deposited in fresh alpine snow is very limited. Although current sources of major ionic inorganic species have been well established, this is not the case for many trace elements. This manuscript attempts to reconstruct the origin of Ag, Ba, Bi, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mo, Mn, Pb, Sb, Ti, U, V and Zn in winter surface snow, extensively collected in the ...
متن کاملNatural and Anthropogenic Source of Heavy Metals Pollution in the Soil Samples of an Industrial Complex a Case Study
Background: Soil serves as a major reservoir for contaminants as it can bind to various chemicals. The aim of this study was to evaluate the levels of some metals (Cd, Cu, Fe and V) in soil samples collected from different stations of Ahvaz Industrial Complex II to determine the natural and anthropogenic contribution of metal in the soil. Methods: This was an experimental study that carried ou...
